Description
IgG antibodies to Helicobacter pylori, the bacterium that causes gastritis and ulcers. They indicate contact with the bacterium; a breath test or stool antigen test is better for assessing an active infection.

- Diagnosing H. pylori
- As directed by a gastroenterologist
Preparation
- No special preparation is usually needed
- Morning, on an empty stomach, is preferred
