Description
PCR detection of Mycoplasma hominis DNA — a highly accurate, direct method for detecting the organism in a swab sample. It finds the infection even in small amounts and without symptoms.
When to Take This Test
- Symptoms of a urogenital infection
- Planning pregnancy, infertility
- Screening as directed by your doctor
Preparation
- Don't urinate for 1.5–2 hours before the swab
- For women — not during menstruation
- No vaginal suppositories, douching, or intercourse for 1–2 days beforehand
