When to Take This Test
- Prolonged diarrhea, abdominal pain, bloating
- Suspected giardiasis or amebiasis
- As directed by your doctor
Preparation
- Collect a fresh stool sample in a sterile container
- Don't take the test after an enema, barium X-ray, or laxatives
